Our criteria
We aim to provide financial assistance to students from the Maher community who wish pursue their academic ambitions post 12th grade. We have limited funds to draw upon and therefore we insists that students applying for aid are from less privileged households.
We prefer students who will be studying high-value course such as engineering, information technology, medicine or finance and our support is limited to those students undertaking studies in India only.
We prefer you to study at a well-known institution. Our aim is to broaden your horizons so you will be in position to compete successfully for careers at prominent organisations.
What we need from you
- You need to be studying for a degree or diploma post 12th standard.
- You need to have gained an admission or studying a high value course such as engineering, medicine, information technology or finance at a well-known institution.
- You need to provide evidence of grades achieved for you to continue the course. Should you fail to clear a semester then we will withhold grant until you clear that semester.
- You agree to provide any relevant information that trustees may require. It is essential that you inform us of any difficulties you are having either on the course or otherwise so that we may provide assistance and support. Any information you provide will be kept strictly confidential.
- You pledge to replay the grant so that we are able to provide similar assistance to new generation of students.
- We expect you to play active part in serving our community.
- You will need to fill an application form. The application needs to be submitted by 30th June. Application forms can be downloaded here or alternatively please email us with request.
Our promise to you
- We will process each application without prejudice or favour with each applicant judged separately according to your individual circumstances.
- Once we accept your application, we will honour our pledge to support you until you complete your education.
- We promise to provide ongoing monitoring, support and care.
- We can provide maximum of Rupees 40500 ( fourty thousand five hundred rupees) to any one student in one academic year. These monies will be paid in two equal instalments by bank transfer to the applicants or their parents’ bank accounts only. These monies are to be used for course fees or for your subsistence only.
